I am a wildlife photographer and passionate conservationist. After a lifetime dedicated to medicine as a professor of Neurology, I now devote my days to documenting the dazzling world of hummingbirds across the Americas. With my wife, we founded Los Dos Corazones Nature Reserve in Ecuador's cloud forest, which is dedicated to reforestation, orchid restoration, and avian research.
With decades of travel and field experience, I combine scientific curiosity with artistic vision. I guide participants through unforgettable photographic journeys that celebrate hummingbirds' brilliance, behavior, and biodiversity.
Using skills learned in the classroom, I strive to provide the participants of my photography tours with image techniques, including exposure, composition, choice of backgrounds, hummingbird biology, and identification.
